Ok, I have 2 choises.

04 Silver z400 like new for 3995.
03 Yellow z400 like new for 3400.

Money is an EXTREME issue, and i need to know soon, because they are prolly gna be sold to someone else if i do not act fast.. thx.!

 

well if there both about in the same condition i say get the 04.the 04 has a better chain adjustment than the 03.plus the 04 has aftermarket plastic because they didn't come in silver

 

Don't get the 03. They had frame problems.

 

If money is a big deal watch for a better one. I just bought a 2004 Z400 in excellant shape except for two scratches on the left front fender for 2800. I had to drive to Memphis to get it from Southern Indiana but it was worth it. I see them sell on Ebay for less than 3200 all the time.

 

your making me fell bad ,i'm picking one up this friday great shape low hours nerf& skid plate $4000.

 

I watched for three weeks, drove 5 hours each way and it has no mods it is bone stock. So when you figure all of that its not as good as it sounds but I think it still was a great deal. This is the first time I have ridden a Z400 I bought it on everyone else's opionions and I am very happy. It will be a great trail quad no question.

 

Why the new plastics, did you ask? Was it rolled? Damaged?

Just a lot of questions out there...but, I do agree to be patient, be willing to drive and study the crap out of Ebay. I got my 05, brand spankin' new from a dealer off Ebay for 5100 OTD! I drove 4 hrs each way for it, but it paid off in the end. Just my .02!

 

I have an 03 and do not have any problems with iy except for the stock front shocks, I mx, and hair scramble....I beat it pretty good and no problems..I do however see a little bit of stress on the shock towers....buy the 03 and with the money saved get some good front shocks!!!!!!!!

 

both years are pretty much the same bike , its just the 04 didnt have the frame problems that the 03 had. so I would get the 03 and you might be one of the
lucky ones like me who hasnt had a problem yet with there 03

 

like i said go with the o4 the chain adjustment is better and the o4 comes with a detachable grab bar the 03 don't
