I would also like the answer to this question. And I would further it by saying that you can assume that the only other modifications will be airfilter / lid and jetting. Other mods at this time don't seem practical on the z250 (why wont someone offer a big bore...)

Hey, as long as I am highjacking this thread. I have noticed that my z250 will pull nice in the low half of each gear, but the upper half of each gear seems to have lost its torque. I can hit the gass, and the engine will rev up real loud, but I will get almost no accelleration (where I used to feel it all the way through every gear). The only changes I can think of are that I filled up with 87 last time (which I was told made no difference on this bike) and that I am perhaps past the time where I should have taken it in for its first checkup (I changed the oil, but thats it in about 15 hrs of use).

well they dont really have any good full exhaust systems out for the z250... i personaly like the white bros E2 pipe..its a slip-on but it gives a ton of power through bottom end and all the way up to top end... and it holds up really well...it makes the z rev out more and if you jet it right and take off the airbox lid than your really going to see amd motice a difference in power...the only full system i really know of is the DMC..but i have heard that its not that good and falls apart easy...the WB E2 pipe is your best bet and youll be most happy with it...lots of power from that pipe..l

I'm running the We2 with a K&N and stock jetting right now on the wife's 250. Its a little faster in 3rd and 4th. But, she says it doesn't feel as "torquey" now in 1-2-3. I'm gonna pull the lid and rejet it and see how it fairs. Otherwise, I guess I'll be trading up. She's already outgrown the bike.

Thats not the best news one could wish to hear. I was actually hoping for more torque (at least in 3-4-5th). Please give us an update after you have rejetted to let us know how things fare.

i have wb e2 and it gets a little better power and sounds great. if ur looking for power than u should get a complete system (pipe and header) but if you just want to change the sound get a slip on pipe. pro circut makes a complete system for the 04 not sure bout the 05. white bros is supposed to come out w a head pipe soon for the e2, but those are the only full systems i know of, oh and dg makes one but i hear it sucks. Alba racing has a pretty good slip on. hope this helped.

well my opinion is this just get a slip on ,its just a 250.but if your going to go into the engine and mod it out then a full pipe.don't waste your money on the full pipe for the 250 the slip on will be fine
