89 LT250r wont start, Spark???
#1
last time I actually rode my quad it died just as I was done riding it so I didnt care and just thought the plug fouled. For christmas I recieved a new fmf exhaust so I put that on, and tried to start it nothing, but thought thats right the plug is fouled, finally about mid March I changed the plug, nothing. ok well its due for a top end I have the new top end in and everything seems ok with that.
At times it seems like I have a weak spark, I know its getting gas plug is wet.
I have yet to get a manual can somebody help me out with testing the coil and what not so I can get this thing moving again

here is what I have done, I have cleaned of the flywheel inside and out, checked all connections, tried 3 new plugs and cleaned the carb. Oh and I also tried a coil from a z400 I know its different but I just used it to see if it had a stronger spark, didnt appear to though. Bad stator, cdi???

It's deff got 2 be a bad stator or cdi box! get a light tester and work ur way from the sprk plug 2 the stator! disconect the stator test there by kicking it!If spark there then it's ur cdi...

I'm ordering a stator its cheap enough and now its needed, we were taking it off and my brother broke the backing plate for it, so we'll see what happens when I get that in there, I really dont want to buy a cdi though, 200 and some odd bucks ehhh well see

it's very rare for a cdi to go bad. the new stator will probably fix it.

Wouldnt be rich, if anything changing exhaust would make it run lean, but that wouldnt be my problem either. I changed out the dg for the fmf. Either way I barely ever get the thing to pop as it sits, still waiting on my stator
