Im ready for a new dune machine and I was thinking the 450 would be the perfect fit...However, kickstart and no reverse puts this 39 year old in a bad mood. I was really looking forward to putting this machine to the test up against my groups, yamaha's, predators, v-force, 450r,z400 and banshee. But if I cant put the machine in reverse when I do something stupid or get in a tight place and if I cant start the machine with the push of a button..... I guess Im gonna have to look in another direction! where to turn? Its fun to have a bike that not many fellow riders own... Suzuki...can you hear me? your breaking my heart with all these rumors!

 

dont listen to just what the couple guys are sayin on here...wait until its on the showroom floors before you make a decision. Unless they have rode the new 450 i wont believe much of what they say.

 

I'm not sure about the start system, but I'm sure it won't have Reverse.

The z450 is going to be a race machine. Just like the 450r and the YFZ450, neither of which has Reverse and only one of which has electric start. I'm sure Suzuki will give you the electric start option, but there is no need to put Reverse on a race machine.

The z400 will still exist as a trail machine with Reverse, why not just buy one of those? With a few mods you can make a z400 really fast, faster than most people will ever need.

 

its not going to have electric start it was scrapped to save weight,kickstart only and thats not a rumor its a fact

 

I can't wait for the 450's to come out. That is when I am going to buy a Z 400. It is just a better all around bike for me I would guess!!!

 

Blackbird doesn’t understand the definition of the word fact, It is still a rumor until you can PROVE it. I have seen no proof. He may well be right but he can't show us a picture or offer a source.

well i can't tell my source because they would get in trouble.i know what i know ,believe what you want too.just passing on the info that i got from this person that knows, first hand about it..thats why i say fact because it not a rumor .guess we will see when the 450 comes out if i am right

nope ,like i said just passing the info on about it .the first post was about it having electric start which it did to start with but suzuki scrapped it to save weight.i call it a fact becuase my inside source told me
