I am helping my friend restore his 92 lt250r. I was just wondering if any of you know what the compression is suspose to be?

 

between 140-150 is good. Anything below 100 and u need a rebuild

 

Hey man I appreciate it! We checked it and it had 135 psi of compression. For some reason the dang thing wont crank. They had been pulling it off and it ran good but the other day I was on it and it just went dead in the middle of the road and we havent got it to crank since. Any of you guys got any suggestions???

check for a spark

 

Only takes three things to make a motor run. Fuel, Spark and Timing.

 

you also need air...check your electrical connections....or like 86lt250rfaftty said "spark"...your plug could be fouled.

 

135 psi is pretty weak for a LT250R, but it should still run. Stock is around 170. My head is rechambered and I'm at 190.
