how do I remove the pedal brake on 86 LT230 S ?

how do I remove the pedal brake on 86 LT230 S ?
on my 230 the pedal brake is on but there are no bolts holding it on and there doesn't appear to be any way to remove it. I am still waiting on my manual in the mail so if anyone has any tricks it would be great.
