i have rode all the bikes except the 800 i have riddin its brother the 700 sportsman and it has no comparison to the KQ andBF. the brute force can destroy both of these bikes off the line. once close to top speed the KG and Bf are about the same. the king quad does ride like a cadillac and the brute force is close to ridding like that. i saw both of those bikes go up a hill bout 200 yards twisty and turny they made it with ease but the 700 sportman didnt do to good. all of them are stock . i would say take a brute force over a king quad because they ride just about the same plus it has more *** to it. i would also look at a prarie 700 or grizzly 660 are great bikes too.

2003 grizzly 660

2004 ltz 400

I confer, I had (2) Polaris 700 twins that I just traded for Kings, they are doing well. Ther were too many things that Suzuki had over the polaris to help me make the choice. I also own a Rincon, it's not bad, I'm out here in the west on the Piute trails and the King is King!

Here's my two cents. I bought an '05 king quad, and I love the heck out of the thing. I took it to some pretty rough trails in central MN, with about 15 other riders, with quads ranging from Sportrax 250's to Polaris 500HO's. The KQ was able to keep up with everything in the group, without issue. Anyone who says the KQ has a lower center of gravity than a Sportsman is not wrong. I would be following in the middle of the group of riders, with a sportsman in front of me, and see him routinely up on 2 wheels going around corners. I hit the same corners, going pretty much the same speed, and my wheels stayed planted firmly to the ground. I do find the very low end a bit disappointing, but in reality, who cares? All you're doing in that part of the rev range is getting going anyways, a pointless gripe in my opinion.

I was able to go anywhere the group wanted to go, which I was thankful for. I didn't want to be the guy who bought the big, bad 700, and then have to be the one who couldn't go everywhere. Some of the hills we ascended and descended were nearly 45 degrees, with loose rocks the size of softballs, or bigger, and the KQ handled it like it was level ground. Even in water, this beast just keeps going. I was in water over the two main headlights, and had zero issue with bogging, stalling, or anything really. All my riding has been done on the stock set of Dunlops, as well. Of which I have no complaints about.

As far as the claim of 100 miles on a tank, there is no way that is valid, as i have run 3 tanks through mine, taking it near E everytime (the electronic gas guage is a godsend) and ive got 206 miles on it.

It does ride very well for a utility quad. Some of the guys who were riding the 250s took mine for a spin, and had nothing but praise to say about the ride. I have all 4 shocks set to the middle of the 5 preloaded settings, which seems to work well for all-around riding.

I agree with whoever complained about the bumper, its pretty flimsey.

I hope this helps in your choosing.

I just talked to a Bomb Dealer yesterday. He stated that the 800 Bomb will sell for close to $10,000. If you're going to wait for the Bomb, you may want to save some more money while you're waiting. I drove the Pol EFI 700 and the KQ. Both are good machines. The king is faster off the line and you can definitely tell you're riding a 600 lbs vs 750 lbs machine. I like the AWD drive better on the Polaris and the 05's have a higher air and clutch intake than the king (if you ride trails with mud/water holes, this is an issue). I'm looking at buying a new big bore right now, and I'm on the fence between the Polaris 700 efi and KQ. Right now, I'm leaning ever so slightly toward the KQ. I haven't driven the Kaw BF; too much neg feedback on handling and my closest dealer is kind of a schmuck.

Note: if you act now, there's a lot of 05 close outs. In MN you can get a KQ for about 6,200, a Pol 700 Dale E for 6,200 and a Griz for 6,000. You need to do a little arm twisten', but not much.

Good luck.

Chalk up another vote for the King. You're talking to one very satisfied Suzuki rider right here.

I have purchased a new ATV every year (mostly Honda), always wanting to upgrade to the next better machine. I have no desire to upgrade from the new King Quad. It is the machine I hoped the Rincon would be. It's fun, it's fast, it's very technical and it has a great overall feel to it. I highly recommend the new King.
