Default KQ EFI Light?

Both myself and two friends bought KQs all within a couple of months of each other. All of us have had the EFI lights come on at one time or another. Mine came on and went off and I haven't had a problem since. My friend's came on and it wouldn't start again...he got a new ECM from the dealer and it has been good ever since. My other friend's light just came on today and stayed on the entire ride. When we got back tot he truck he finally turned it off and on a few times and the light finally stayed off.

Have any of you had this problem? Three for three is not very good any ideas?

Phil I think the red FI light is when it starts to get hot. I know mine has some good mud in the rad.

Default KQ EFI Light?

I had the same problem the 2nd day that I had my KQ. I notice that the Fan was not running so I jiggled the wires in the front. When I started it latter the light was off. So I went for a little ride and the fan was running then. But I noticed that the FI on the LCD display was also lit up earlier when the FI light came on. You would think that the FI light and the FI on the LCD would be on different circuits. But I have not had anymore problems with overheating or ANY problems for that matter. I have 250 miles on it now. I am still loving it. I think I made a great choice and a lot of my friends are looking toward buying one.

Doug,

You may be right. WG's brother went with us the other day and we did hit some mud and water. My light didn't come on but his did all day but when we got to the truck and let it cool down he was fine.

Mine came on also and went off when it cooled. Took a pressure washer and cleaned the radiator, should have seen the mud poor out. I have some engine ice i'm gonna try, hope it helps. Machine needs a bigger radiator.
