Default More Power for the VINSON

I have stock vinson with 27" tires. I got on my friends vinson and noticed alot more power on his bike. I didnt think that adding bigger tires would make a big difference. Does anyone know what I can do to get that power back? I know that adding an aftermarket exhaust and new jet kit will get more power but really, how much more can I get? what else can I do? toooooo bad we cant change differerential gears like a truck..

Hi, Monstadodge
Yes, a full exhaust like an HMF and a jet kit will help out alot!!! You can also put a clutch kit in, to make up for the loss of
power from the big wheel kit.

Good advice ABX. Just so happens I'm testing that combo right now. Another piece of advice-If you get into the clutch, clean the moveable face plate (primary clutch-front) channels to get the belt dust out. This will help get some of the lost MPH back, as the dust inhibits the rollers from fully moving up/out.

Hey 4xZuk, how is the FMF Powerline? What's the noise levels compared to stock? Good gains? Any info on that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Redgoblin
The FMF is good but, I dont think it is as good as the HMF.
They both are a good bit louder then stock, but the HMF is a little louder then the FMF.

Hey Goblin-How's Greenville? I grew up in Effingham, bought a few bikes over at G'ville. Both are good. The HMF seems to have a little more flow, but ABX is right-LOUDER. The FMF isn't much louder than stock. I'm liking the FMF-a lot. You might also look at the HMF Eco series. What thwe FMF has going for it is the lack of packing. Read: no, to low, maint. The carb should be re-jetted w/ either. Then things wake up!

Did the gains justify the purchase of the pipe though? Of the HMF QS1 (Eco) and the FMF Powerline, which would you prefer based on power and sound?
