Z400 throttle cable removal?
#1
Trying to put on a Motion Pro twist throttle, but don't know how to get the stock cable out of the carb. Anyone done this that could lead me through it? Thanks in advance!

Take out the 3 bolts holding the cover for the throttle cable on the carb.
There is a rubber o-ring in there.
Now i used a screwdriver to lift/open the assembly the cable pulls on to give you some slack to work with.
At the end of the cable is a round piece attached that slides into a whole in the assembly.
You can see a slot form the whole that allows the cable to come out, this is where the slack in the cable is needed.
Now just get needle nose plyers and pull on the round piece on the cable and it should pull out.
Make sure the cable is lined up to pull out of that slot and that you pull on the round piece evenly out.
Its quite easy just take a look once you get the cover off youll see.
