Default HMF utility series and jetting - Eiger

I recieved my HMF utility series (including HMF's main jet) and UNI filter in the mail and I have a few questions about the installation. I've never done anything like this before, but I would really like to do it myself, so any help y'all can give me would be GREATLY appreciated.

1. What's the easiest way to get to the carb? Should I take off the gas tank cover and tank, remove the airbox, or can I jimmy it out enough to work on the carb w/o removing either of these?

2. Is the main jet that comes with the HMF pipe probably going to be the correct main jet at less than 3,000 feet?

3. I checked out the dynojet website and noticed that for each jet size, dynojet recommends bottoming the air/fuel screw out and then turning it out 2.5 turns? Is this sufficient in all cases for the Eiger or should I use another method for checking the jetting?

4. If it is necessary to do more than just 2.5 turns, how would y'all recommend checking the jetting?

5. I'm also kinda bumfuddled about the plug check. How long should it take before I can read the plug to determine rich vs. lean?

Sorry I have so many questions. I appreciate y'alls help.
