JCee,
Thanks for the info. Do you know if there are any major upgrades from the 04 to the 05?? Trying to see if it is worth paying more to get an 05 instead of an 04.
Thanks!

Um...

Not sure on everything different from 04 to 05. I did a ton of research when I was buying in 04 so thats why I know that info. One thing I do know that was changed 04-05 was a new/different pipe. Not sure of exactly what it did but I know it was different; a little bigger I think. Oh yeah, and the front suspension was supposed to be alot better on the 05's. I forget exactly what....it was like for 05 they were fully adjustable piggy backs or something and the 04's did not have the same range for adjustment...possibly gas shocks....I've been happy with the stock setting and havent played with them at all. The chain adjustment from 03-04 was a huge deal though.....Other than that I think pretty much everything else was the same/besides color...

By the way....

As far as new to used, if you can find a fairly nice bike that you can tell hasn't been totally abused DEFINITELY go used. Depending on where you ride of course, but if you plan on trail riding like I do, as good of care as you take these bikes are going to get scratched up and used. That being the case save yourself 2000-2500 off a new one and enjoy. These things stand up well and as long as its not a total junker when you buy it, chances are it will be good.

When I got my 04 last July it was in perfect shape (used). I took awesome care of it, rode hard and fast, but always avoided mud and things that would harm it easily. I would wash it everytime I rode it. Then one day out on the trails, I shot into the woods found myself on a steep hill, and rolled it backwards after making it about 40 yards up. I watched it tumble down like 15 times and smash all up........Anyway moral to the story is if you ride them they will get a little screwed up...and with like 150 in parts I put it back together and it runs and looks nice. Again Moral if you can find a good used one go used. IMO
