I just got a uni filter for my Eiger and I need to oil it up. I've got some K&N oil at the house and I was wondering if I could just use it to lube up the filter. I didn't know if the foam vs. cotton media would make a difference. What do y'all think?

 

I called UNI Filter - the tech rep said that K&N oil would slide right off. Guess it's UNI Oil for me.

 

You could also use NO Toil foam filter oil. The nice thing about it is you don't have to use a petroleum based product to remove it. The remover is mixed with water and does a great job.

 

My preference is Maxima FFT or FAB1 on my foam filters. It is super tacky, and nothing is getting past it!

 

...And they're biodegradeable.

 

I use bel ray foam filter oil on all my foam filters.
