Does it hurt a King Quad to hit jumps and get air?

It would help if u tighten up the suspension, but i wouldn't jump i too high b/c its heavy and shaft driven. Plus it has weak tie rods so u might not want to land on the front too hard.

haven't heard if the KQ has the same problem as the vinson, but its known that the upper motor mounts can loosen. this in turn will cause the motor to rock back and forth resulting in cracks in the frame. some think that the loosening motor mounts can be cuased by excessive jumping. but like i said, i've only heard of it on the vinson...but it wouldn't hurt to occasionally check the motor mounts on your king.

Thanks for the info. I'll save jumping for a sport quad!

Toyeboy,

Go ahead and jump it. It's made for riding so go ahead. If you are bottoming out then adjust the shocks some. The only thing you have to remember is that the harder you ride the greater chance you have of wearing things out but if you are worried about this stuff all the time then why ride at all? I say get out there and have some fun! Do you not go in the mud just because you are riding a sport quad? I didn't think so.

Happy Trails,

This all depends on what setting your shocks are at and how you land. Mine are turned up one from the factory setting and I can nail 8 feet jumps with no problem. One thing to remember you are on a ute so you better stick those landings. I don't jump mine very often but if the situation provides itself I'm not going around. The way I look at it is if you break something then let Suzuki pay for it. Under warranty & insurance is a must!!! This weekend I knew two guys that totaled their quads! Once sank his in the river...too deep and swift water is something to look out for. After three hours of looking for it we declared it fish food. The other guy flipped & rolled his quad down a 1000+ foot mountain! Looked like a pretzel and was a pain to drag back to the truck. The best thing about this is that both had insurance and are getting new quads next week!
