By the shootouts I have read, Yoshimura makes the best overall pipes for the z. For the weight, power, and sound comparison it is the best overall. The CT sonic pipe makes the most power for the z but is just alittle louder and about the same weight. The hmf is also a good all around pipe like the yoshimura just alittle heavier and louder

For the price, under $400 shipped- colored and silencer, I love my HMF. I'll never get tired of how it sounds. If you haven't seen them yet, my gallery has some pics. Might need to wait for the updates to get approved though.

Yoshi is the best performing pipe for the z400 out there...look at Doug Gust...get a full system and youll be really happy...you wont want another pipe...they can get pretty pricey for sure...but they are well worth the extra money...

HMF with the quiet core would probably be the best bang for the buck with being under 99 db's. just my input.

yeah if you want your pipe to be under 99db than is say yeah the HMF would probably be your best choice...Yoshi's tend to be loud..but you sure gain alot of power from them...you can always get a quite core for the Yoshi if you want too...

it all depends on how much you want to spend. I would go for the yoshi pipe and get a quiet core for it

The yoshi's actually aren't that loud. They are a couple decibles above alot of pipes but it meets the 96dcb standard for racing or whatever it is. The decibles is exactly at 96 but its still not that bad and like vunit said look at doug gust......and the new trc carbon fiber pipe from yoshi is like 5-6 hundred and it being carbon fiber, which is like would definetly be my choice
