Tires
#1
These will be going on a 89 LT250R. What are some good tires I rarely ride track I ride a little pavement not that much I ride a lot of trails with a lot of rocks and a fair amount of mud. I also ride in fields and on gravel a lot. I like Super Swamper Vampires but not sure they will fit for this quad and not sure I would want them as they probably would flip it backwards everytime I hit the gas. I like being able to slide the back around but my tires are leaking air. What do you guys like for tires?
Also anyone know how the GBC Dirt Devil Tires are? Are they ok for a sport quad or will I have problems with them wearing too fast or flipping backwards or something like that.

If trail riding is your main use I would go with the stardard Holeshots or Razrs You can get any number of different models like the Holeshot XCT's and HD's both durable 6 ply tires with great traction. Razr or Razr2 are also great tires. If you want something a little cheaper Kenda are a pretty good tire for a great price the Klaw XC's and Knarly are both really good tires for the money. If you are looking for a myd tire you could go with Mudsharks, or Blackwaters. Good luck.

I just don't like the looks of the holeshots or Razr's I like more the look of quads that come on utility quads. They also cost a little more than I want to spend. Not that cost is a huge concern but I just really don't want to spend $70-80 for a tire.

Don't take this the wrong way but the tires on a utility quad are for a utility quad. Your quad is about the furthest thing from a utility quad, but it is yours so do as you whish and have fun doing it. Thats all that matters. By the way mudsharks do have a tread pattern similar to utility tires but with sport quad dimentions.
