I will be installing 26" mudlite xl's next week. I do alot of trail riding that requires some large hill climbing. Will the center of gravity be diminshed? Will I notice a big power loss? Do I need a clutch kit? It is an automatic.

--Will the center of gravity be diminshed?
Not if you got wider than stock tires. Even at stock widths I don't think you'll notice it much.

--Will I notice a big power loss?
Minimal. My 26's are real heavy but it didn't lose so much power I had to go out and get a filter/jetkit/exhaust, but mine is a manual.

--Do I need a clutch kit?
Not necessarily. It depends on your personality and your riding behaviour. You've got low range so you won't probably need it. Now if you went with a "heavy" 26" or a mudlite in 27" then you'd probably need one.

Now if you're a power-hungry freak, then forget everything I said and go ahead and order the clutch kit/airfilter/jetkit/exhaust and go bawls to the wawl.

Hey 4xZUK, that is really weird hearing from someone from Dyersburg. I lived there the first 21 years of my life I graduated from DHS in 1993. My parents still live there so I come home from time to time. We'll have to hook up and ride down around in the bottoms.

Def weird rlk. PM me and we'll hook up! Went riding this morning, off of 51 going towards Unionville, to take some shots for an article I'm doing.

when i installed my 26 inch mudlites i did notice a littel power loss and lost some top speed i installed an epi clutch kit and i love it worth every penny i rid with a guy with mudlites on another vinson with no clutch kit no comption i can smoke him on a straighte away like hes not even moving.my opion a clutch kit is worth every penny if you go with bigger tires.you dont have to run a clutch kit with big tires but it makes it alot nicer.

How are the Mud Lites in the sand?

How are the deeper lugs on trails vs. the ATs?
