I am telling you the needle adjustment will help, also i just noticed that your the one with the exhaust issues , you defiantly need to get a bigger pilot jet!! If you do this you back firing will stop and your bike will perform better.

Your dealer will probably have jets, if not go to another dealership . Minuki carbs are very popular and they are used on other things so if your dealer doesnt have pilot jets then another one will have them for sure. Also i dont know what size the stock carb comes with but i do have my stock one and i will check it for you and let you know. your going want to go two sizes up

Check your pm's/ Also take your racing lid complety off and see how it runs. But try that 160 your dealer gave you. Was it hard to jet your quad out being that it was your first time?

I had the lid off, it didn't/doesn't make any difference...

If the 155 made it run worse than the 150, wont the 160 make it even worse??

No, The jetting was easy... The hardest part was getting the brass screws off that the dealer completely stripped when they rejetted it!!

But as you suggested i got me some allen head screws, and all is good now...

All i need to do is get it running correctly.....

Now that i *Think* i have my Z400 Jetted correctly....

I want to check my spark plug to tell for sure....

Every thing i read says drive it down the road, at full speed, Pull in the clutch and press the kill switch, Pull over and check the plug.....

Unless i am missing something... The only Way to check the plug would be to take off all the plasitcs and remove the Gas tank...... Is that true, or is there something i don't know about??

Thanks,

-ThaChad
