How do you mod the 400ex intake tube to fit the Z400. Please help i am leaving tommorow for a trip!!

Are you talking about the carb to air box boot? If so the 400ex air to carb boot is a tiny bit bigger than the Z's so just slide one side on the airbox and the other to the carb and tighten them down snug with the clamps. Pretty straight forward but I'm guessing we may not be talking about the same thing.

 

I was thinking the same thing. If it is the one that goes from the intake to the carb it is simple take one out and put the other in...

 

My pm's arnt working and its the tube that runs from the airbox to the carb?

 

Yeah just take the stock Z400 one off and just put the 400ex one in. Just a straight swap.

 

Are you sure they gave you the right boot? Mine just slid right on and I clamped it down.

 

Its the right one i have it now but there is a tightbend right before the Carb. Is that ok or should i trim it down a little bit?

 

Is there a kink or anything in it? I really wouldn't trim it if it was mine...
