Check for an air leak around the carb and intake, or a stuck choke?

Like Dunbar said check adjust the idle screw after it is started and warm. If this does not change anything make sure your choke is not on or stuck on. IF this still does not fix the problem, check for air leaks by spraying with starting fluid or carb cleaner around the intake connections. to each side of carb and around carb in general. If there is a leak the idle should change. Maybe there is a tear in the intake tube? These are all stabs in the dark since we do not have much info to work with. Let us know. what happens.
