the 400 is in the shop getting worked on so i figured i would throw a intake hotcam in it. will i see a big gain without an aftermarket exhaust or do i need to get one? will i lose any lowend power?

I don't know how it will respond w/o an exhaust but w/ just the intake cam in you will gain low end. I'm also not too sure if it will take off power on top.

Not much. Take the pea shooter out if your tight on funds right now. It will help..

 

you will still notice a difference, you should put in the hotcam why'll you have the engine apart. You will still notice a difference, exhaust isnt everything....... Just pull out the Spark Arrestor in your stock muffler after its back together and ull be good to go.

 

save $400 , go to rocky mountain and get the full yoshi comp . worth the money! look at my list of mods,not really alot of cash into it and no motor work done . for all that , my kfx runs good ,real good. let me know if you like the cam or cams. really don't want to get inside because it's only 6 months old , but may have to.
