king quad dying in water

why does my king quad dye in water

How deep are you going? Does it die or does the belt slip and not allow you to move?

Water is either getting into the intake track somehow, or the water is shorting out an electrical connection somewhere. Check to make sure the bottom of your airbox is plugged and not cracked somewhere. Other than that I can't be more specific as I don't own a king quad.

have a 500 kq 2011 and it dies if I get in water if I push the gas but if I let of it will idle fine only dies when I push the throttle

That was over 5 years ago, I don't think any of those people even come here anymore. The original post was from 2005.
