Default EFI no good? Jams up?

Someone on the Power Sports Network mentioned that the EFI system on the king jams up and gets clogged. Now I know if you ride in very dusty conditions it might be possible, but in most cases? Non dusty riding....?

And if it does clog up, does it outweigh the benefits of the EFI?

I wish there was more colors on the King.

I spent all day yesterday on some very dusty trails behind a large pack of quads with no problems. The filter should take care of the dust not the injectors, if it becomes a problem just throw in the occasional small bottle of fuel injector cleaner - problem solved.

The same fuel injector cleaner for cars? Or is there a special one for ATV EFI's?

Well you got me there, however there is no difference in the gas. The gas we use for the cars is the same gas we use for the ATV and for the street bikes that the injector comes from. So following that logic I would say, yep, use the same stuff.

SeaFoam is my personal favorite. Although Lucas works well. Settling for STP, Gunk, or Chevron's cleaner will work, but just not preferred (imo). Go to your local atv or lawnmower shop and pick up one of those clear fuel filters w/ the paper element. Stay away from just the metal ones as it's only a screen and won't filter the fine particles. I'm wondering if the gunking up condition is a symptom of being a vacuum fed fuel system and no filter being on the gas tank vent tube?
