I took the spark arrestor off of my stock 05 z 400 and it feels like theres a lot more power, is this bad for my motor in ne way and why

i dont think anything can happen, i did the same, except when you look in the pipe and see all the walls and tubes ( baffels) i cut all of those out so its hollow all the way through. big power gain also.

 

i know i just took the spark arrestor off and it pulls up in 3rd now

 

You might need to rejett but other than that it will be fine check out this website to get the best info availabe for the Z400 but you will need to remove the "*" from the website because the ****'s on this site think this is a competitor and that site name is forbidden on this forum. By the way this is the best Z400 site on the net look their for better info.
