Z-400 running hot

Default Z-400 running hot

Hey on my 05 Z-400 the fan kicks on when it is idoling for about 1 minute or when im driving at low throttle like 1/4 to 3/4 at slow speeds is this normal? Also how do you post yor pictures on your page i can't getr them small enough. thanks

Sounds pretty normal. Does it come on after starting it up and idling for 1 minute? Or is it that you are riding and stop for a minute and then is comes on?

Mine comes on in the woods all the time at slow speeds, and it will also come on if I stop riding and let it idle for a minute or even less.

Make sure your coolant is full, clean, and circulating just to be safe.

how do you check if its clean? just look it its that good clear green or blue color (forgot which one)

Thanks for the reply i was just being safe im really happy with it down the road i can do wheelies in 4th gear even with a 15tooth frount sprocket. My friend said he was doing 82kms on his fourtrax 350 when i passed him doin a wheelie.

see, us in the u.s. are the only ones in the world who dont use the Metric System. lol, guess we just gotta be different.

well 100kms is about 60mph, i think 82kms is about 50-55mph. I can go 133kms top speed which is just over 80mph.

just over 80, thats pretty good, is all u have is the different sproket and the pipe and filter?

yea i have it jetted too but other than that all i have is stuff like nerfs and handlebars i can't get a picture up to.

82 km = 50.95 mph
84 km = 52.2 mph
