Okay I recieved my Dyno-jet Jet kit finally and opened it up and found out the largest jet in the kit is a 165 which is comparable to about a 150 mikuni jet. FRICKIN GREAT... this sucks!! Anyways, I went ahead and put it in and it opened up more than I would have ever imagined. I mean it pulls really good 1/3 to about 3/4 throttle. The topend dies away, but I'm sure thats the main. Previously my brother had piped the stock motor and put a filter on and was running a 150 DJ Main.

Anyways... I'm sure there is a world of more potential, but none of the dealerships around here stock jets. Anyways, I guess I'll have to order some. Also I should probably move up to a 27 or so Pilot.

The thing still idles like crap and I've adjusted the crap out of the idle screw. I'm still running the stock Pilot, a 165 DJ Main and a DJ needle on the 4th clip. I had to turn the idle screw out like 9 turns to even get it to run, is this right??? I hear of people turning it out like 4 or 5. I can't seem to figure it out.

HELP!

What other mods do you have? Air box lid and snorkel on or off?
A 165 dynojet is equal to ~155 mikuni (link http://vmaxoutlaw.com/tech/dyno-mikuni.htm ) .
9 turns out on the fuel screw sounds like way to much, make sure you jet isnt pluged.
When my Z was piped with no airbox lid or snorkel I used a 160 mikuni main, stock needle, 25 pilot about 2.5 turns out.

Yeah I know I'm waaay lean still, but I figured the idle screw was messed up.

BTW, I'm running the following:

Weisco 440 Big Bore
Hotcams Intake/Exhaust
Ported and Polished Head
Dyna CDI
DMC Alien Full Pipe
Aluminum Airbox with K&N, no lid
