Help with 96 king quad

My friend has a 96 300 king quad and it wont start. We put new plug in and sprayed starting fluid in it and it would run for like a second. I think it might not be getting gas but what else could be wrong??

Help with 96 king quad

I think I'd take a look for either a dirty/clogged carb or a stuck float. Assuming that you have fresh gas in it.
