Default Vinson tires

Anyone have a set of really aggressive tread 27"s on thier vinson?
The dealer says he thought a 26 was as big as you could go without scrubbing.

I have a set of 26 mudlites xls on my vinny and its all the tire I'll ever need, These things are bad &ss. But by the looks of the 26 the 27 would be a tight fit.

I've got 28" Gators on mine and my buddy has 28" Mudlites on his, No rubbing on either one. I bought spacers and a lift cause I thought they would. When he put his on and they didn't rub, I took the lift and spacers off.

28"s eh? you just simply put a 28 inch tire on a stock vinson wheel, and it doesnt scrub
no matter what the suspension articulation? Any chances i could get you to post some
pics where i could get a good look at how those tires fit? I have been leaning towards
the gators.

I'll get some pics as soon as I can, I'm out the door to go riding now. You can look on my pic page and see some.
The Gators are a hard compound, great in the mud,but slick on wet rocks and logs. The Mudlites grip alot better in all spots.

I have 27 swamp pro's on stock rims and have no problems at all. Looks like you would have no problem running 28's if you wished. Vinson's have ton's of room even when compressed and twisted.

Well great... i was all set to buy 26"s . How is the power loss with the bigger tire? I kinda like being
able to scrub the back rack anytime i want, and run circles around polaris 600s and rincon 650s. =-9
I need the ground clearance badly. The IRS on the other wheelers i ride with dig up the ruts, and i
drag my tail over the hump. Well now i have to go shop for 28"s.

I think the lift kits are harder on the axles than the larger tires. I have 26 inch Mudlites and I have 700 miles on the tires. Axles and drivetrain are holding up just fine.
