It may be one of those cases where it's your responsibility to tell the proper people when you get back and pay the tax, but I'd just claim ignorance. How long is that drive to troy city for you? Are you still planning on it?

The 8 inch rear rims handle the abuse of big air better than 9 or 10 inchers. There is less metal to bend. I think the larger rims look better though.

i dunno maybe...if when they get the ltr and its dirty cheap ill definitly go like during spring break or something and probably at the same time pick up a dirt bike for my bro. Otherwise Ill just drive to the nearest state and pick one up. Its roughly 1800miles one way as the bird flies.

If you have been riding for such a long time then you should be able to understand what makes it so much better then the trx and yfz. FIrst off the ltr offers the best suspension barnone on any stock quad today and its shocks could compete with triple rate elkas and what not. Its the first stock quad to ever come with long travel suspension up front. Its alot wider for mx so no need to buy a stronger wider axle. Its fuel injecied...just wait 5 years and all quads will be fuel injected. Its also got other little perks but those are the ones that really stand out. The motor is supposed to quite strong as well.

Elkas are pretty much the leading edge when it comes to performance shocks...........

I still won't get the z........I'm holding out(could be forever.....lol) for the Polaris/KTM quad..............then we can race.........or now is good too..........

Speaking of overrated, Elka definately fits into that category...

Exactly how do you people get off calling it a long travel suspension? If the specs that are floating around are right, somewhere around 10" front and 10.9" rear, then its not long travel. The 2006 yfz has 9.1" of travel up front and 10.6" out back, which it does with shocks that are 1" shorter than the z400's front shocks are. The Honda is less impressive at 8.4 and 9.3 front and back respectively but not out of its league. If these shocks on the zuki 450 are the 19" or more we are used to seeing on true long travel setups then they have done a poor job with the suspension setup.

maddog..........you really think elkas are overrated? I don't know a lot about suspension either........and I'd like to get some new shocks soon and was looking at them........would like to hear your side of it though before dropping a large chunk of money............what do you think it better??

What does the pred have for travel?? I can't seem to find the new specs on it.......
