'88 230 QuadRunner nub
#1
Hey guys, a nub here.
I recently got to working on a friends '87 LT250R and '88 230 Quadrunner.
The 250 was fairly simple to fix, new reeds, throttle cable, and the boot from carb to airbox (which I am still looking for) and it should be running this week after parts come in.
The 230 is giving me a headache. The stamp on the frame reads JSAAJ43A4J2101054-so impretty sure it is an '88. Correct me if im wrong, but isn't it then a LT230S? I'm trying to find rear axle bearings and bushings for the entire front suspension, anyone have any suggestions on where to look? Ebay seems to have some pretty nice deals on the bearings, but are all bearings fairly equal?
That boot from the carb to the airbox for the 250 is being a real pain to track down, anyone have a parts 250 layin around?
Sorry for all the questions, just would like to ride atleast one of these two before the mud dries up :-)
Boris

Hey Boris..
I believe you are correct on the year of the Sport..as for bearing being equal, not really. The ones you get from Pivot Works or AllBalls are a higher quality than the one on eBay BUT the ones on eBay will work just fine, might not last as long but will still work.
Bushings you can get either at Vince's Cycles or ATVBushings.com
If nowhere else, you may be able to get the carb boot at Bike Bandit
Hope this helps!
