Default KQ Ebay end cap question...

Would the same effect be attained by simply removing the spark arrestor as compared to buying the end cap? Any advantage over installing the end cap vs. removing the spark arrestor and leaving it open? Thanks!

The endcap allows you to keep a spark arrestor for woods riding and still have the pipe opened up a bit, I have one and its nice!

But if I have no need for a spark arrestor would removing it be as good or better than purchasing the endcap?

I think it would simply because it takes care of the odd-looking hole in your exhaust and if you ever happen to want to ride public land, though you may not plan on it, a SA will be required.

It also sounds better with the tip, without it the sound echos in the end cap, the tip also quiets it down just a hair.
