Default Stand up a Z400?

Anyone ever have any issues with standing their bike up for transport? I'm at the point I need a bigger trailer but until then I just don't want to damage the wife's bike.

You can transport it that way. You may get some gas out of the carb overflow and it may take a little longer than normal for the engine to fire. The only damage you may get is damage from not having tied down properly.

I'd let it settle for a few minutes before you try to start. Just to let all the oil to drain down to the sump. When I was installing my skids, I stood it up. After I put it back down I let it be for a couple minutes. Then I started it, it fired right up and I wasn't worried about the lubrication system being dry.

I'd do as ^^^^ said. Let is settle for a while before starting.....shut your fuel off before tipping it up.......and expect some fuel to run out. Also....I'm not familar with the z......but on the pred, the crankcase breather will allow oil to drain out if not placed in a different spot. Also......the stock place for the pred breather is in the airbox......which will ruin the filter if transported up......just check it out........

My buddies stood them up for a 8 hr road trip, and they never even burped when we fired them up after only about 5 minutes after being unloaded.

Take the fuel hose off the carb and plug it with a nail or a screw or something of that nature.

How much room do you need for it to fit? When we went on a trip our bikes wouldn't quite fit on the trailer so we through the front tires over the rail of the trailer so it was sort of hanging off, and tied it down.
