If its only 5 speed its a 85-86. If its a 6 speed its a '87 up. Also, the '87+ had the powervalved engine. It would be real simple to tell if it has one just by looking at the side of the engine. Look at the side of the cylinder and look for a plate with a couple screws holding it on. Underneither that plate there will be the powervalve mechanism. It would be real hard to miss.

Look here

Look at the side of the engine with the exhaust. Right above the motor mount you can see a plate with what looks like something you can turn. That is the powervalve. You can turn that thing to adjust it. '87+ models had these. 85-86 didn't. Hope this helps.

i was talking about the ebay pictures. 87's had a five bolt intake,88-92 had a six bolt intake, but the 91-92 quadracers had a two wheeler rm style rear shock, while the 87-90 quadracers had that wierd linkage where the swingarm pushes a link up,and it pivots up top and pushes down on the shock, the ebay pic is a 91 or 92,if had that wierd rear linkage,it would be a 88-90
