06 Suzuki 450 vs 06 YFZ

Default 06 Suzuki 450 vs 06 YFZ
Just wondering which would be better in drag racing, trails and mx. All stock. Dont really kno much about either.

Dont really know much about either, but from what i hear the new suzuki 450 may beat the yfz's. I hope not, Doug Gust has the suzuki 450 and from what ive herd and read it tears up the track.

Default 06 Suzuki 450 vs 06 YFZ
The new suzuki 450 is too wide for trails , 4" wider than the YFZ if i remember right. But it should be perfect for MX , and also has fuel injection. As far as which one will be faster for drag , thats all speculation at this point but i wouldnt expect the Suzuki to be much faster if any than the YFZ.

I would think that Suzuki would make sure it is faster than the YFZ since that's their biggest competition...but you can't get much faster with a 450cc engine than the YFZ. It doesn't seem to be built for the trails, since it is so wide, primarily built for MX.

Only 20? I believe that number may triple by the time they actually release the bike. Then the forums will be full of "My cousin Billy Bob's Suzuki 450 smoked a NOS Banshee while towing a YFZ today!"

r u taking about the 05 yfz having 38hp the 06 should have about 40-43 hp with the new changes for 06 and with a gtyr the yfz should have over 45hp
