broken twin peaks need help w/ dealer, IN SHOP 3 1/2 MONTHS
ok here we go i dropped my bike off at the dealership on aug 8 05 for an engine noise and smoking. it was bought new on 1-15-05 they checked it out and tore down found rod bearings spun. it also damaged the cases, crankshaft, both rods and several bearings the extended warranty has covered all repairs per the dealership at a cost of around $4500.00 per my dealer now here is my problem i still dont have it back yet it has been 3 1/2 months. they also had it a month prior to this for a 4x4 problem. so in the time i have owned this machine it has been the shop half its life. who do i need to complain to to get my bike fixed. suzuki doesnt seem to care because its outside of the 6 month warranty. they opened a case the closed it when they found out it was 8 months old. ive got a number for the extended warranty company but i dont think they will care either. any ideas guys. i love this machine but the service is really lacking PLEASE HELP ME WITH ANY IDEAS THANKS

The question is why are they taking soooooo long. Is it due to backordered parts, the extended warrenty people dragging their feet, or the shop not making time to work on it?
Whatever the reason, I would seriously consider talking with an attorney. Sometimes even a phone call to the shop from an attorney can do wonders.
Good luck...

they say its because of backordered parts but then again they say this is an isolated occourance so if they are not havin problems, then why are parts on backorder also there mechanic hasnt been in to work in 2 weeks so im wondering what is really the problem but im also scared because who is gonna put it back together????
wondering if it will be worth ridin or will it hold together after this mess?

Sorry to here your bad luck , all i can say is if you are dealing with a dealer/shop that has ONLY 1 mechanic, then you need to find a better, bigger shop, most places ive seen like that are small places with outrageous prices and terrible service and an unknowledgeable staff/ mechanics. I would find a place where there is alot of knowledge and experience to be spread around amongst the mechanicsText

up date on the twin peaks--------- got it back around the 3rd of jan they left lots of things off screws in the front plastic, headlites unplugged, bolts out of cvt cover , bolts out of pull start cover, engine doesnt run right, they had the swingarm out and messed up the bearings, poked a hole in the boot between the engine and rearend, i immediatly took the bike to another dealer in jackson ohio where they looked it over and fixed all the things that motorsports center in gallipolis missed. they fixed it and had it back to me in 2 weeks. very good guys to deal with there name is HONDA SUZUKI OF JACKSON 740 286 4956 I just thought i needed to let you all know the end result
By the way i did trade it off cause i was really worried about problems down the road because if they messed up this bad where i could see, what did they do where i couldnt see thanks for all the help
