Default Any Other Issues With the 2005 King Quad?

I'm purchasing a used 2005 King Quad with very low mileage. Beside the tie-rod recall, are there any other
issues with the 2005 models? Reverse gear issues?

Also, is the warranty transferable?

Many thanks

The only problem I had with mine was that it didn't hold up very well to being run over by a Sand Rail!!!

Munched King Quad

Just a 116 miles on it, NICE Huh? I loved it for the short time it was ridable.

56 nomad, yes the reverse warranty is transferable. The other thing you might want to ask is if the quad has got the throttle recall fix.

RPM, how did the king do with those back tires in the sand before she went down? Ive had mine in the dunes but with bighorns and I was surprized at how well it did. I would love to try it again with some paddles.

I really couldn't tell you. I was actually on my KFX, and just jumped on it to run it up the hill. It made it half way , it seamed to be doing OK. This all happened 23 minutes into the first day of an 8 day Dune Trip. It messed up the whole trip for me, I can tell you that much. I was Out Cold for about 20 min. and screwed up for about a month and a half. SUCKED BIG TIME!!!!

56,

Congrats! It looks great!

Regarding any other issues...I'm sure you are aware of the air filter "debate" and the blue smoke some have had. If not then just do a search here. It looks like from most peoples responses that it does fix the problem but I'm not sure that it is 100%.......that is buying a new air filter like the foam UNI for $20-$25 and making sure it seats properly. There are a lot of complaints of dust in the air intake from the stock air filter not seating correctly most likely. To me and the research I have done from other people it sounds like a high probability that is the problem anbd a very inexpensive fix.

I still have a KQ in my running for my first quad.
