shops charge alot, buy a manual and do it yourself, its alot cheaper

definately get a clymer manual for your machine. a shop will charge you a couple of bucks for the bolts and nuts . you can go to the local hardware store and get most of them. Like I said earlier mine came in three samll boxes. engine/tranny was completely disassembled. the clymer manual had pretty good pics and good explaination. if you do split the cases you shouldn't have any trouble getting it back together. these bikes are so simple to work on that it should be a crime to charge a guy full shop rate.

Default Lt 250 ? worth the money ?

My 88 lt was in very very terrible shape when i first got it,about 1500-2000 bucks later i wouldnt trade it for anything ,,and if i did i would sell it and buy another lt250r or 250r. I would recommend getting a manual and do it yourself,but i would recommend against clymer,The clymer manual i have leaves out a few things,like it says theres only 2 timing marks for the balancer and there are three,wich made me think lt's just normally vibrate your feet to sleep.haha- i dont know who else makes manuals though,maybe the factory one
