Also for jumping the knobbies on the mud lite tires provide a cushion lite landing so no need for new 1000 dollar shocks, just get the mud lite tires.

second remark: Wow...
after some time to think: you have to be one of the biggest retards i have ever seen. They're mud tires first off. You also put in your pro that your bayou will smoke anybody and put that you are looking for new shocks. I thought that your mudlites would make up for any problems with shocks. Tires really do nothing except traction, and not by that much to change the outcome of a straight race by that much. Honestly its people like you who make this forum seem so retarded. Utilities dont race, tires will not make or break a straight race, make up for shocks, and are not the most important addition i have ever heard of.
question:says in ur pro u got a turbo, they make a turbo for utilities? let alone a 300....

man, you gotta be out of your mind. a z250 will burn u. and youre tryin to compare to a z400, hahahahahaha.
get into another forum please. or get educated. both would be a good idea. and from personal experience, stock for stock a z is faster and quicker than an ex. its not really a huge difference but its true. the ex is a great machine dont get me wrong. but technology wins here, hands down. the 06's have a bigger carb, better shocks, and its a little lighter. or so ive read.

I got an awesome deal on my Z. I love it.
K&N Airfilter + Pre-filter
Big Gun CDI
Dr. D Exhaust S.S.
WORKS (front) suspention with rezzies
A arm guards
Body skids
Swingarm skid
Acerbis hand Guards
Front Bumper
Grab Bar
Frame Guards
Heel Guards
Nerf Bars
TAG mount with rev/neutral/oil indicator lights
TAG Handlebars
TAG Grips
ITP rims all around
Razr's in the rear
ITP Holeshots up front
Carbon Fiber gas tank cover
Flame Ceet Griper Seat
New Chain
13 tooth front sprocket.
All that for $2700 and in good shape. I think $2700 would just pay for the modds alone. Works suspension is amazing...
I moved off a blaster and I still loved the blaster when I got the Z. Then I rode the Z. After I got used to it I tried riding the blaster just for kicks and oh man!!! I'll never get on that thing again. The Z is just so comfortable. You may not realize it when you are riding but thats just it. Thats cuz its so comfortable. Blasters really arent that bad either. The Z has really smooth power but mine has plenty of low end in 1st and 2nd. I can pull it up with EASE in 1st in 2nd. Just hit the gas. I can pull it up in 3rd but it takes more effort cuz I dont weight much. The only thing I would change about it is make it wider. Its already wide enough to not be tippy but I like to ride and corner and slide really aggressive and wider is better for that. Still no problem with how it is now. The 400ex is a good machine too. But the Z400 is almost at least a little bit better in every way. Most every way. The ex is actually a little better at wheelies but not noticeably. I bet you could find a good deal on a Z with people wanting to buy 06' quads and the new R450 coming out. The Z is plenty powerful, super comfortable, very reliable, reverse, awesome handling, tight turning radius, amazing wheely machine, balance good for jumping (only the 450's can outdo it IMO), and tons of fun to ride. I love mine and I'm pretty yamaha biased. Good luck... Thats my HONEST opinion.
And oh my gosh... get mudlight tired. So much traction you can never spin your tires. Wow... Its like buying elka suspension in a tire. You can fall 20 feet and no realize you just landed. Its that soft.
LOL.... what a joke!
