The rear drum Will Not Come off the bike. It is a 2001 Suzuki 160 cc Quadrunner. I have removed everything from the axil.
Lot and I mean lot of dirt came out of the drum. The seals leaked allowing mud and water in the assimbly. I have removed most of the dirt using break cleaner. The Break lever on the back of the drum assembly is froozen, ok it will move with a hammer. I have moved it to its minium point. The brake shoe should not be touching the drum. It does spin freely. With a 2 point puller and all the tork I can put on it it will not come off.
What am I missing. How can I get the drum off to replace the parts so my son has brakes and we can ride again. Any suggetios are welcome.

I had the same problem on our 160. I believe there is a clip that holds the drum on. I'm not 100% sure about that. My neighbor came over and helped me with it. On my Z250 once I got the outer metal shell off, I loosened the brakes as much as possible and the drum slide right off. I'll have to try to get out the garage tomorrow to look for sure. But just check and see if you can find any of the round clips that lock into grooves on the axle.

I have used my pocket knife and scrahed around and do not see anything, If you find out otherwise please let me know. I have had the drum off before and can't remember doing any thing special. I thing I will go purchase a 4 point puller with and 12" jaw. That is all i can think of.

I think your best bet would be to buy the pullers. I did some looking at my service manuals and there aren't any clips. I think the reason that I thought there were clips is because we had such a hard time getting the brakes off the first time. I made the mistake on my Z250 and used a prybar to get the brake drum off and chipped part of the outer casing because I didn't have a big enough set of pullers. On the 160 we did us pullers to get the drum off.
