That is a common problem. Instead of buying a whole new side cover, you can buy just a bracket that bolts on using the side casing bolts. I think that nac's and james lucky sell these, but i don't know for sure. Hopefully this will be your last problem. Good luck.

Ok, I found it for sale at Nac's racing - (914-246-3086). It is $29.99, fits 87-92. Nacs advertises in dirtwheels magazine. I've never dealt with them, so I can't say they are a good company to deal with. That is the only place I found it now. It seems kind of expesive for just a bracket, but I think it will be much cheaper than a new side casing. Look around, I'm sure I've seen it elswhere cheaper.

Yeah I just saw that ad too. I'm gonna order that as soon as I can. Meanwhile I fixed it with some extra strenght tape. I put the part that popped off back on what was left. It seems to work, but as soon as I'll get in a puddle...........

Also there is another thing on my quad....I'm replacing the spark plug every ten minutes. It'll run fine with a new spark plug but after a while it will die. After that i can still start it but I cant give it any gas or it will die. Its probably the carb........I tried playing with the air screw but it did not help.

PS: take note that I bought my quad in Canada and brought it down to Georgia.

Man, I get suckerd to fix the same problems with my girlfriends LT250R. I can tell you whats wrong with the spark plug and carb.
First off did you gap the plug and is it a B9EGV, and about that jetting sounds to me like theres to much gas, buy a couple size smaller main jet. And starting from closed position on your air/fuel screw turn 1 3/4 turns out.
Lets put it this way I know more about her atv than I do mine.LOL.
