I put in a new battery and the neutral light only comes on once in awhile. Is this the neutral switch? How hard is it to bypass this switch or is it easily replaced???

 

Does it really matter that a light doesn't work?

 

Well, if the neutral light does not come on, the electric start will not work. It wearing out my auxillary pull using it all the time.

 

You probably need to charge your battery for a while.Sounds like if the light is working a little nothing is wrong with it.You start it with the pull start, the engine charges the battery enough for the light to come on a couple of times the it dies down again.How did it act before the new battery?

 

Well the headlight is really bright so I think it has enough power to turn on the neutral light. That's why I think it's the neutral switch. Maybe the contact need cleaned but I can't find it. If the light is on, it has plenty of cranking power.

 

Check the cdi box.I really don't know how to check it besides this/if the bike runs good after pulling start without sputtering and cutting out, it should be good/if it isn't that check fuses and switch.
