Need some serious tech help !
I just put on a full HMF Sport exhaust on my 04 Z400. It looks great but won't run for crap. I know it's jetting and want to know if anyone can help with jetting. I am at 50 feet above sea level, run with airbox lid off, stock needle. What main should I use and what pilot.
If anyone has a stage 3 jet kit please look at the instructions and give me some help. I really appreciate it.

They said anywhere from 130-145 main and they didn't mention the pilot or needle adjustment. I have a jet kit for my Predator and knw that it comes with instructions for stage 1 and 3 and says specifically which jet for under 1000 feet elevation. I was hoping someone with a Z400 that has a jet kit could tell me what it recommends for my elevation.

Okay, look, I don't have this Quad, but if know one else can give a better place to start, try this, A good rule of thumb is to always start at the maximum needle height, and go with the bigger main jet and move down from there. You don't want to burn a valve, not saying you would, but why chance it. You didn't say where it ran like crap, wide open, from accelerating flat spot, off idle, in the middle, so I can't get real specific. If know one can help you on this, you can e-mail me. Maybe between the two of us we can get you dialed.
