Looking to get some upgrades for my z400, buying from sweetquads.com. Looking to get the K&N power pack and the hmf slip on. Should i get that or spend my money elsewhere.

 

i'd go with the alba action sports intake kit and either the yoshimura full system or an fmf titanium 4 full system

this pipe kit looks like a good one...id buy this and remove the airbox lid and you're looking at some serious power gains...and it will be loud...you're probably looking at 102+ decibals if i had to guess

 

oh, and do yourself a favor and dont waste your money on a slip on

 

one more thing, if you're going to remove the airbox lid which i strongly reccomend, then id also recommend buying this

so you can get more air flow but not as much dirt so you wont have to clean the filter as often

A lot of people lare very happy with HMF. You will notice a nice gain if you get the silencer, remove the airbox lid and rejet. You dont need the whole jet kit, most pipes come with the jets that are needed (ballpark anyway). You can buy a needle from alba (~$15) if you want to change it. You wont get a gain in power by replacing the airfilter, its a good idea to get a pro-design type setup for a better seal. If you ride in dusty conditions get a foam filter, K&N doesnt stop fine particles.
