help with tire pressure for my vinson
#1
just put a set of stock size dirt devils on my new vinson (less than 40 miles). the tires handle way better than stock but the ride seems a little harsh. i know the dirt devils wont ride as smooth as the stockers but i was wondering what kinda air pressure should i be runnin in these tires, i think my buddy put 11 pounds in them.

11 psi is way too high for ATV tires. You'll find that the DD's have thicker sidewalls than your OEM tires, they certainly don't need much more pressure than the stockers unless you are carrying lots of extra weight. Try setting them down to about 5 psi or so and see how it feels. If the ride is still harsh and bouncy, go a little lower - I wouldn't go below 4 psi. If 5 psi feels like it wallows, bump it up a pound or two.
My brother has stock size Dirt Devils on his Prairie 650. He carries lots of gear in front and rear cases. He runs 5.5 to 6 psi in the back and 5 psi in front.

There is a table on the rear right fender that tells the recommended pressures, these are usually a good starting point. Start there and fine tune until the ride is right for your style of riding.
