lol, i meant i need lights for my truck. the only way i can see at night is with my fog lights. i bought a set of halogen conversions for it but the diffusers are garbage.
that being said, the new led lights i bought for my 230 arent that bright either. but since i very rarely ride at night, it should be ok.

This worked really easily! I just pried the shaft up with the jaw/handle of a channel-lock plier. Thanks! Another question- The clutch side cover says '1400ml' on it and the one I'm putting on (with a tighter kick start lever) says '2000ml' on it. Any real difference to the covers? Will the case now hold 2 liters of oil? Was this a change in years? I thought both motors I have are 85s. Thanks!

its possible that the oil capacity could go up. i always refer to the viewing window to gauge the correct oil capacity.

highly unlikely. lt230s' came with 3 different oil capacities, 1400ml, 1600ml, and 2000ml.

Strange that there would be so many capacities available.
Of course I'll use the window.
Been cleaning up case parts today. Probably get the old head off tomorrow.

The motor goes back into the frame when I'm done putting it together. Then I have to patch up the wiring a bit.
Little by little it's shaping up!
