On another note i uploaded my first ever youtube video today! Check it out!
1985 Suzuki lt230s - YouTube

I also spent about 45 minutes working on this today:

I just used a piece of expanded metal and cut it to fit. Then using small zip-ties I secured it behind the grill. Gives it a pretty good look I think.
Yup, that's a good place for all the bugs to get stuck :P

Always wanted a big red. I like the gum too lol. I want a trike to wear the hump down in my trails. Kinda torn between a big red and 350x. The 350x would probably hurt me tho

Yeah I thought about crap getting stuck in there lol. At this rate though the thing is turning into a garage queen so it hasn't even had a chance to get dirty again I'm ready for the kid to be old enough to go riding with me that way we're not always stuck at home...then again he's only 6 mos old and he's already growing way too fast!

Can't you get one of those back pack like things that strap to your chest n stick him in that to go riding with you? Don't let the do-gooders see you though. They'll think you're the devil lol

Wife says no lol. Last week I took him around the yard on the 3 wheeler and he laughed the whole time...I think it's time to start keeping my eye out for a small quad to start working on for him!

She's hard at work making him a girl huh

Those little chinese quads look about right, but if you adjust the governor so it runs slow enough, it won't run over a blade of grass. And when you give it enough power to move, it'll hit 30mph. There's no inbetween. Damn cvt trannies.

I've been looking into them a little bit and haven't ruled them out yet but what i really want to find is an old Honda atc70 to start him out on. That's what my dad started me out on and I rode the **** outta that thing. 3 wheels will teach you how to really respect a machine and I think it made me a better overall rider.

If I had my choice I would own a big red AND a 350x! The 200s does a really good job at knocking the hump down in the middle of the trail and I bet the Big Red being heavier would work that much better.

He'll flip it even if you had 10 wheels lol. How many gears do those 70's have? Something with gears makes more sense.

My problem is if you give me too much power, i'm gonna use it. Maybe not the 1st time out, but eventually. And too much power plus not enough wheels equals bad things!

Mine was 4 gears all upshift. Some of them were 3 speeds and some were 4. Some were all up and some were all down lol I think Honda did a lot of experimenting in the 70's and 80's!

I flipped that little thing more than once lol but I was always told to "get back on and give it another try". I got to the point where I could do donuts with the thing

I'm with you on the subject of power lol that's the reason my biggest machine is a 230cc! This thing has enough power to keep me happy.

Friend had a 750 triple 2-stroke bike from the 70s that was all 5 gears down. That took some getting used to.

Man I don't know. I feel like the big red won't be enough but the 350x will be too much

Yeah my atc110 is 4 down and i'm constantly downshifting when I want to shift up. Can't beat the low range on that thing though. I've pulled some pretty big logs outta the woods with that thing although steering gets a little tricky lol. I think an lt4wd would be better suited to that task...I could use a lot of new machines lol.

Back to the quadsport topic. Anyone ever use the durablue front wheel spacers? Would I be better off to get rims with a different offset? I know you can "flip" the stock fronts but I'm not sure how to go about plugging and switching the valve stem to the opposite side of the wheel.
