What year is this z-250 sport? or is it a LTZ-250 Quad Sport? and are you talking about switches on the left side of Handle Bars?Maybe the Kill Switch?

I don't know what year it is but the kill switch doesn't do anything but shut it off but most ATVs if you look around in the middle of the motor there will be a little nobe

I'm picking up an '87 LT 230 on Sunday that I'm getting super cheap. No spark, owner says it ran fine with good compression until it just stopped one day. Tested a new plug, still no spark. I'm hoping it's a fairly simple fix. Since I'm not familiar with these quads much, is there a particular culprit that is likely the cause? Thanks.

it could be the problemproblem if not its probably the carborator or not enough oil so the engine melted or this happened on my quad when i bought it but if it has an aftermarket battery but stock ignition switch then the battery gives the ignition switch too much power and it fries it or if you have an aftermarket ignition switch but stock battery then the switch don't have enough power to run

Default Blown motor?

I was riding my 86 lt230s and it stalled so I thought it was out of gas, when I went to fill it I realised there was still plenty of gas in the tank. So I tried to start it but when I kicked the Kickstarter it did nothing. It felt like I was kicking it with the sparkplug out. Pushed it in the garage, took the plug out and put my finger over the hole and felt as much pressure as it had before this happened. So it does have compression. I just adjusted the valves the day before because when I bought it it would not start with the Kickstarter but after adjustment started second kick. But the intake valve chattered a little but I didn't think anything of it, could I have blown a valve?

Hey guys, been awhile since I was on here but I have a big question. Why is it that 2 stroke big bore kits are much bigger than 4 stroke ones? Example: biggest 230 kits are 260 or 273 and lets just say a blaster 200 that have kits of 240, 265 or even 280. Is there a reason 4 strokes can't be that big?
