These A-arms and shocks are from a 1991 Suzuki LT250R, what do ya'll think? Should be the same measurements I would think that 1987LT250 posted for his '87.

1991 Suzuki LT250R Front Shocks stock
I would still have to get tie rods I think.

Looking at pictures of the 250R, I'm begining to wonder if the stock 15" shock would work because the shock frame mount on the 250R seems to be higher because of the geometry of the frame. It looks to be much taller from the bottom of the frame to where the shock mounts to the frame.

Ok well I think I am going to run with this and give it a whirl. So JustRandy do you think I will need to get the 250R tie rods as well? What did you do for your tie rods when you extended your a-arms by 3.25" each side?</end quote></div>
You should probably get the tie rods too. I cut the tie rods in half and welded 3.25 inch tubes in the middle.

THe 250r and 230 frames looks the same to me. I know the 250s doesnt have any problems with a 13inch shock. Worst case you'll have to buy a lowering kit for the 250r to lower yours a couple inches.

Ask the seller how long they are. I would think they are the same,,, but never know. Could try to microfiche and see if the part numbers are the same.

My friend got that 230 for $500. All I had to do was plug the coil up and it started, LOL!!! I took it for a ride and I swear it has as much power as my .080 over 230. It even came with a KN filter and new rear tires! Lights work, all the brakes are there,,, it even still has the key! And came with a back rack... Good deal!

Smokin deal! Think it is bored as well?</end quote></div>
Nah!... The lakota was the smokin deal... I put my TM28 on it to get it running and it smokes like a tar wagon.
It could be bored. Not sure, but the guy told me that he had a new piston put in it. I asked him if it was a wiseco piston and he said he didn't know, but would assume it was. There may even be a cam in it. Hard to tell w/o tearing it down. The clutch is super hard to pull... I bet somebody put heavy duty springs in there!
.... all that work n time in mine and my bud got another one for cheap that don't need **** done to it, lol! I'm happy for him though. Even happier I don't have to tinker with it for days getting it going!

Sounds like he got a great deal! Paid the same for mine and sounds like he got a better over all atv in it's initial condition, but good on you both another one lives instead of being parted out

Yeah, I would have parted it out I think... I have too many quads right now. 5 are permanent residents and 3 are just hanging around to be worked on. Its like going thru a maze to walk from one end of the garage to the other.
