And your right. Your quad could have parts from other machines.
The 85,86 quadsport and quadracer shared several of the same parts. And in 87 the Quadrunner and Quadsport followed suite. That is to say, sharing a parts bin cut down on production cost.
Man, thats great. Can't wait to see the pics. You are getting pics right j/k
(Never did get an answer on the rear hub question I posted to everyone, I wasnt picking on you Swartzy). Any takers?
Great to hear from you Swartzy. Keep it up.

First off, you have to be more specific when talking about the "quadracer" hubs. It depends on what year and model your talking about. The LT500 quadracers always had 5 bolt hubs with the larger splines. You're right in that these won't fit on the stock 230 axle. However, the 250 quadracers had 3 generations of hubs, and the first two generations fit perfectly on the LT230 sport. The 85 & 86 hubs were 4 lug small splines and are interchangeable with the 230 sport hubs. The 87 & 88 250 quadracer hubs still had the small splines, but were the 5 lug pattern. These fit right on the stock 230 axle. The 89-92 hubs were identical to the 500 quadracers - 5 lug large splines.
As for the 230E, they also had the 4 bolt small spline configuration, but only in '87. In 88 through 93, they were upgraded to the 5 lug pattern with small splines.
So, if your looking to upgrade to the 5 bolt pattern wheels with the stock 230 axle, your best bet is to get the hubs off an 87 or 88 250 quadracer, or and 88-93 230E quadrunner as those are somewhat common bikes.
There are other options too from less common bikes though. The suzuki quadrunners almost all had the same 4 or 5 bolt patterns, and most had the same small spline axles. The LT300E and LTF300 quadrunners come to mind as ones with the 5 bolt pattern and smaller splines. Want replacement 4 bolt hubs, try the LTF230, LT230G, LT250E, LT(insert random number here). (I think even the LT4WD had the same 4 bolt pattern and small hubs. I should know, I own 2 of them. But I'm too lazy to go check right now. It's cold and late in Missouri.)
Shall I go on? Nah, I think that's enough from the "Totally useless Suzuki ATV trivia from the 80's (& 90's)" section of my brain for one night. LOL

Hey Man. Good to have a new face around.
Your right, I should have been more specific. I should have asked:
What rear o.e.m. NON Suzuki hub could be used on the Sport to make finding a better selection of after-market wheels much, much easier?
Sorry about that. I will try to do better next time
I did not know the 87 and 88 Racer still had the small axle. I thought they went to the larger diameter axle after the 86 model year. Hmm. Live and try to learn I guess.
Thanks yagerzzz.

got the old quadsport back together today. it runs a little funny but i tihink that is because i had to use a 230 head. its black so i think is from the utility 230. it seems the valves are reccesed farther up in the head than the orignal but i only paid $20 bucks for it. i found out my uncle has a lot of 230 cylinders and heads so i got it from him.
