Lets catch some brim!

Looks like a pond to me Randy! Awesome man!

Dura fix......... The only thing I used it on.. I had an old riveted aluminum boat that weeped a little. I "welded" all the seams up, and it worked awesome. I also used to fix the prop that found one to many rocks! one of the blades was half gone and i just "built it up" with the stuff and grinded back into shape.

Would it work on some thing like the carrier?, I don't think so. I highly doubt that that is has any where near the structural integrity of a true weld. I don't think it would hold up on anything that is regularly stressed. It is basically a patch like the JB weld.

Ugly, wish you had a 86, cause I have many carriers. they are different right? Can't remember............

Hmmm... I figured the way that dude in the durafix video beat and bent those metals he "welded" that is was pretty stout stuff.

Its not a pond yet, I didn't get to do much diggin this year for various reasons and most of that is just flood water with no depth. Now having my cherry popped in pond diggin, I'm be better setup to tackle the job next year.... So long as we have another drought.

I learned some things today...

Razrs are damn good snow tires, very good at self cleaning. She tore through 8 inches of fresh snow no problem.

If you keep doing 360* spins up and down your street you will eventually flip, testing the strength of the handle bars.

So I was crankin in 4th gear, lean, and crank the bars. Then I just high sided. Now I need some new bars, Im thinking some $20 MSR will do me good

You didn't learn much from the bike incident huh?

I can believe that. Snow doesn't clog tires too well if I remember right. Been so long since I've seen snow though.

Nope, handlebars ain't too strong. I don't think I have any that ain't bent.

One of these days I'm going to get around to getting some new ones. I'm looking for some shorties I can drive with handcuffs on.

Maybe... I'll send you a few of the rods as I don't have any "experimental" aluminum to play with, except cans

about 3 weeks ago, I flipped my 400ex and snapped my Renthal bars in half! I looked in the rocky mtn catalog and they claimed 60,000 psi breaking strength on those particular bars. Called them up, told them I broke them, they sent me a prepaid return box, about 8 days after sending them back they sent me new bars for nothing!

Renthal has no idea who they're dealing with.

As soon as I got a project involving aluminum I was going to order some of those rods. My buddy said he has some stashed in his shop, but I'd have to go dig for them if I wanted them.

I was thinking about making a frame out of AL for the 230, but after I weighed the steel frame and found it was only 40 lbs I figured there's not much point in all the work and expense. At this point, fixing mag covers and welding cans together is about all I can think to do with them too.

If we could weld mag covers with it, it would be worth it with these quads!

Yeah, they really don't! My skill level on 4 wheels has gone up HUGE over the last year... I think the main thing saving my azz is I am one of the three "old guys" riding with mid 20's kids. Whenever us old folks get a lil wild (we think) the kids will take off and show us that we are puzzies!

BTW, when I rolled, I was tossed 20-30 ft and my quad did a triple in the air, before landing on its top. I had all my armor on and walked away with minor injuries (for a change)!!!!!!!!!
